A 3-minute tai chi routine you can do anywhere

A 3-minute tai chi routine works best with one move, not many. Spend about 20 seconds arriving with slow breaths, about 90 seconds on one tai chi move such as Cloud Hands, about 60 seconds on one gentle stretch or Pilates move, and finish with one long breath out. Do it standing with soft knees or sitting in a chair. Three minutes is short enough to fit before work, at lunch or before bed, which is what makes it easy to repeat.

Why Zenbo: This is exactly the Zenbo daily session: Bao moves with you and a large caption shows each step.

The session: one large caption per step, Bao moves with you.

The routine

  1. Arrive, about 20 seconds. Stand with soft knees, or sit near the front of a chair with both feet flat. Let a few breaths slow down.
  2. One slow tai chi move, about 90 seconds. The first reps go step by step, then the move flows at your breathing pace.
  3. One gentle Pilates move, about 60 seconds. Small range, standing or seated, never on the floor.
  4. Closing breath. Hands rest, one long breath out, and you are done for today.

Why one move, not ten

In three minutes you can do one move well, slowly, with your breath. Trying to squeeze in a whole sequence turns it into a rush. Learn the next move tomorrow.

When to do it

  • Before work: a calm start before the inbox.
  • Lunch break: stand up from the desk, or stay seated. See the 3-minute desk break.
  • After work or before bed: a slow wind-down.

Pick one time and keep it. Zenbo asks for one reminder time, for example 7:30 before work or 12:30 at lunch, and sends one gentle nudge a day.

What you need

Nothing special. About an arm's length of space around you, everyday clothes, and a steady chair if you want to sit. No mat, no floor work, no sweat.

Want a bit more on some days?

Zenbo Premium adds a 10-minute Slow evening flow and a 20-minute Long unwind built from the same moves. The 3-minute session stays free every day.

Zenbo is gentle movement for calm, not medical advice. If you have an injury, a health condition, balance problems or are pregnant, check with your doctor first. Move within your comfort, use the chair version if you like, and stop if something hurts.

Questions

Is 3 minutes of tai chi worth it?

Three minutes is a small, honest start that is easy to repeat. It gives you a calm pause and a way to learn moves one at a time. You can always add more time later.

Do I need sound?

No. Large captions on screen guide each step, so you can keep the sound off at your desk. A soft chime marks each new move if you want it.

What happens if I miss a day?

Bao naps. Nothing is lost, there is no streak to break, and your ink scroll keeps every stroke you already painted.

Is Zenbo free?

The daily 3-minute session is free, every day, with no trial needed. Premium adds the 10 and 20 minute flows, both 14-day programs and two extra scroll colours. In the US it is $34.99 a year with a 7-day free trial for new customers, $8.99 a month, or $79.99 once for lifetime. Prices vary by country and the store shows yours before you pay.
